Privacy Policy

In short

CompEDX s. r. o. runs this website. We collect personal data only when you contact us through the form, create an account, or when technical data (such as your IP address) is processed to deliver the site. We host everything in the European Union, we don't run advertising or tracking analytics, and we never sell your data. Below is the full detail of what we process, why, for how long, and what your rights are.

1. Who we are (the controller)

Our registered office is recorded in the public Companies Register of the Slovak Republic under the company ID above (available at orsr.sk).

We have not appointed a Data Protection Officer, as we are not required to. For any privacy matter, contact us at the email above.

We do not process special categories of personal data (Art. 9 GDPR) through this website, and we do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling.

Providing your data is voluntary. Without it, however, we cannot answer your enquiry or provide you with an account.

3. How long we keep your data

Where the law requires us to keep data longer (for example, accounting records), the statutory period applies.

4. Who we share your data with

We do not sell or rent personal data. We share it only with service providers (processors) who help us run the website, under data processing agreements:

If we are legally obliged to (for example, by a court or public authority), we may disclose data to the competent authorities.

5. Transfers outside the EU/EEA

Our hosting is located in the European Union. Google, as a global provider, may in limited cases process supporting data outside the EEA; such transfers are safeguarded by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and, where applicable, the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. OpenStreetMap Foundation processes data in the United Kingdom, which the European Commission has recognised as providing an adequate level of protection.

6. Your rights

Under the GDPR and the Slovak Act No. 18/2018 Coll. on Personal Data Protection, you have the right to:

  • Access your personal data (Art. 15)

  • Rectify inaccurate data (Art. 16)

  • Erase your data ("right to be forgotten", Art. 17)

  • Restrict processing (Art. 18)

  • Data portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format (Art. 20)

  • Object to processing based on our legitimate interests (Art. 21)

  • Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal

To exercise any of these rights, email office@compedx.com. We will respond within one month. We may ask you to verify your identity before releasing data.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority:

7. Security

We host our systems in the EU with a reputable cloud provider, use encrypted connections (HTTPS) across the entire site, restrict access to personal data to those who need it, and never store passwords in readable form.

Details of the cookies and similar technologies we use are in our Cookie Policy. You can change your choices at any time via the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer.

9. Changes to this policy

If we change how we process personal data, we will update this policy and the date at the top. Significant changes affecting account holders will be communicated by email.
